>>AIM/MSN Scam
This scam
envoles the scammer asking the victim to add him on MSN Messenger or AOL Instant Messenger. He will then either ask the victim
to press F11 or press the 'Link' button on AIM.
If the victim pressed F11, he is asked to copy the URL (address) and then
paste it in the Messenger window. The scammer then tells the victim to close all cokemusic windows.
This allowes the scammer to use the Session ID (the code at the end of the URL) and
log into the victims account. Cokemusic really need to improve security, and use a habbo-hotel style login system.
>>Trading Scam
The scammer claims
that he has a pinball machine, and says he will trade it for 7 gongs (or whatever). He then tell the victim to first trade
6 gongs to him, and on the second trade the scammer will give the victim the pinball machine.
The obvious requirement in this transaction is trust, and the scammer could just quit cokemusic and keep the
6 gongs, or simply refuse to trade.
>>Falling Furni/Race
Scam
The owner of the competition (a.k.a. Scammer) will ask the victim to P2S (pay to stay)
or REV (revenge). The victim pays, and eventually wins the competition
The scammer can just refuse to pay the winner of the game, and the victim loses the furni he payed to stay in the game.
>>Cloning scam
The scammer claims he can clone furni (mostly
only good furni!) and asks you to give him the furni to clone.
Again, the scammer can leave the room or refuse to trade back.
NEVER TRADE ON THE BASIS THAT SOMEONE WILL CLONE SOMETHING FOR YOU!!!
>>Login Details Scam
The scammer somehow convinces the victim that he will give
the victim decibels if the victim tells the scammer his login details.
>>Fake Furniture Scam
This is the most frequently used scam. If you are told by a person to meet them at there room eather tell
them to get the stuff or to bring it back where ever u r or be very cautious. watch for the scammer to pick up the furniture
and drop it down again. or if the scammer is taking a long time to trade you.
I have got scammed by this scam a few times so watch out.
>>Code Scam
If someone tells you to pay them and they will give you a code to get something free. NOT TRADE THEM.
Duh... if they were going to give you a code y wouldnt they just trade you the furniture
that u would get? I have got scammed like this a before
